Affordable Health Care Act Town Hall Meeting Scheduled for June 12
Alabama Organizing Project’s Civic Engagement Fellowship Program and YWCA of Central Alabama are partnering to host a town hall meeting to discuss the affordable health care act. The meeting will focus on explaining the act, what parts of it have already gone into effect, and debunking common myths about the legislation. They will also showcase healthcare statistics in Alabama and the potential impact the affordable health care act will have on Alabamians. Health care experts from around the state will be participating in this panel, and there will be time for questions from attendees.
The meeting will take place at the YWCA Woodlawn Family Resource Center at 100 59th Street South on Tuesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. There will be a reception immediately following with light refreshments. For more information about this community meeting, contact:
